Hi I'm Nat!

I started Neighborhood Patterns out of a lifelong love for sewing.

I learned to sew when I was eight years old at a sewing camp taught by a neighborhood nun, and from that point on, I started sewing any chance I could get. When asked, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" the answer was always, "Sew!"

I went on to study art and earned my BFA in Fashion Design at Columbus College of Art and Design. In 2023, I started Neighborhood Patterns to share thoughtfully designed sewing patterns with extremely clear, detailed instructions that leave no room for confusion—only creativity.

The name Neighborhood is a nod to how I grew up in St. Paul, MN, where everyone knew each other and neighbors felt like family. That sense of community is something I hope to build here too—through sewing, creativity, and the joy of making things together.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

I’m so glad you’re here.
